Sit in a Comfortable Chair is a series of portraits inspired by David Hockney’s similar series. After a stroke Hockney rehabilitated himself by painting portraits, each with the model sitting in a hard yellow chair. I thought it would be nicer to have models sit in a comfortable chair instead. I have a ways to go to catch up with Hockney though. His series was “82 portraits and 1 still life.”
